“NIGHT SONG is lovely- its opening portamenti are evocative and the text setting is very nicely done. The choral voicing shows that [she] knows [her] way around these voices… the way [she] internalized the structure and meaning of the poem and found ways to use musical repetition to communicate them even more powerfully, shows a great sense of musical intuition.”

Get to know me

I first found my love of music in 6th grade when I began playing saxophone. I played in band and jazz band and eventually began singing for jazz band and performing on stage in musicals. In 2016, I attended Oklahoma City University to hone my craft as a musical theatre performer and saxophone player. But then, on a school night in 2018, I turned on Netflix and watched Hans Zimmer: Live in Prague. I was completely enamored and knew I had found a new love. I finished my vocal degree in 2020, and in 2022 returned to my alma mater to study composition with Dr. Edward Knight.

My composition style takes a lot of inspiration from film music, implementing film-style motifs, chord changes, modes, and hybrid orchestrations.
